Could this be the time that I finally commit to myself?

Posted by Linda Theres-Jones on

I am proud of myself.  I made it through this stressful summer at work and through the September 20, 2024 work deadline.  Here are the items that I have accomplished in the past 30 days:
  • I started to track my food again in the Weight Watchers app August 19th.
  • I have done great staying within my points.
  • I have done great making my 7,500 steps per day.
  • At the beginning of the 2nd quarter in 2024, I started the habit of getting up by 6 am so I could get 4,000 steps in before taking my shower. I would just jog in place while watching the news.  Two weeks ago, I started doing a mile with Leslie Sansone using YouTube videos.  What a difference.  I plan to do one each weekday morning to help me get to the 4,000 steps.
  • I was able to resist the junk food temptation in the last 4 weeks. I did not let the stress get to me.
  • I found some fresh meals at both Kroger and Meijer that I can eat for dinner. They are expensive, but it is time to invest in myself.  I spend plenty of money so the boys can go out to eat.  I am making myself eat everything in the dinner, especially the veggies.  For the first time in my adult life, I ate cherry tomatoes!  The only veggie I avoid are the bell peppers.  They just ruin the entire meal for me.  My palate is rather bland.
  • I have lost 6 pounds.
  • I have determined what my real “why” is. -This will be a future blog.
  • Listening to the Ranting Weight Watcher, I came to the realization that it is OKAY for me to be obsessed with my weight loss. – This will be a future blog.
  • I am committing to going to 1 in person meeting a month to be accountable for my weight. – This will be a future blog.

It is time to focus on me.
